JONESBORO, AR — Dozens of people walking down main street in Jonesboro this weekend to celebrate the second amendment and exercise their right to open or concealed carry weapons.

The group “Arkansas Carry” organized the walk to honor the one year anniversary of Act 746.

The law decriminalized carrying an open or concealed weapon for lawful purpose in the state.

One person — participating in the walk —  says he and others who carry concealed weapons are the good guys.

He said, “That’s what people need to understand. Just because we carry guns does not mean we are criminals, we are just trying to protect ourselves from criminals.”

Members of “Arkansas Carry” say Act 746 is great self defense news for the state.
