LITTLE ROCK, AR — A robot, built by kids from Mountain Home High School, visited the Museum of Discovery today.
The students call themselves “The Bomb Squad”.
They demonstrated their 150 pound basketball shooting robot chosen in a national competition to lead this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
One of the girls who helped design the robot says she hopes her project will encourage more kids to get involved with technology and science.
Alexis Watts, said, “As soon as I found this out I was like why have I never heard about this? This is really awesome and I was like this is better than most of the clubs my school has to offer.”
The organization she’s talking about is called FIRST.
