LITTLE ROCK, AR — A Hillcrest neighborhood is shaken up after a man was followed home and robbed just yards from his home and just feet away from a children’spark.

According to the victim’s family, the man was riding a grey and black moped back from the Bank of America on Markham St. around 7:30 p.m.

When the moped driver got to L St. and Tyler, a tan sedan screeched in front of him.

A man jumped out, pulled out a gun and stole the driver’s wallet and his moped.

“The moped screamed down the lane and then the car backed up and hauled down here,” said witness Michael Goodrich.

The armed robbery occurred in front of Prospect Terrace Park.

“Are you going to do this at a children’s park? That’s wrong,” said Goodrich.

The victim’s family said the owner of the moped owned the ride for only three months. He used it to get to his job.

Neighbors said their area is quiet and usually the only noise they hear is children playing. The screeching tires and armed robberies has them on edge.

Family said the moped is a 2009 Honda Metropolitan. It is missing a right rear-view mirror. LRPD are urging anyone with information to contact them.
