LITTLE ROCK, AR — On this Father’s Day, one Arkansas dad says he got a gift that can’t be topped… a bouncing baby boy!
Cayden McCary was born this morning just after 6:30, weighing 8 pounds and 12 ounces.
Mom — Lauren — was at work when her water broke.
Someone quickly drove her from Carlisle to St. Vincent’s Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock.
It took about an hour to get to the hospital, but Lauren made it in time and her son came shortly after.
The McCary’s say they’re blessed the baby is healthy and Nick says Father’s Day will always be more special for him.
He said, “Emotional, it made me cry a little bit because it was just a special present for Father’s Day.”
His wife, Lauren, said, “We’re just going to spend time together here and enjoy the baby, have some bonding time.”
Mom and dad both say their 5-year-old son Chad will be a great big brother.
He got to meet Cayden this morning and is ready to help out.
Lauren was going to be induced this Thursday, but the baby apparently decided to come early and surprise his dad for Father’s Day.
