LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — One Little Rock woman is going “bat crazy” after she’s had to get rid of more than a dozen of the pests inside her home.

Katrina Page lives near Hindman Park in Little Rock. While she expects to see an occasional bat here and there outside she never thought she’d have to deal with the pesky creatures inside her rental home.

“In one instance it’s been about seven bats,” says Page. “In the video I showed you, the bat was hanging right there.”

Page is disabled and lives with her mom who works overnight. She says the bats have been a problem since June, coming out from the attic and vents at all hours of the day and night. “Right here it’s vented inward, so it’s possible they’ve been coming through here,” she says.

The property management company says they are aware of the bat problem. They say a pest control company has come out to investigate and is actively working to stop them from coming in. In the meantime, Page and her family have been able to stay in a hotel until the 23rd.

“I’m not going to live in here, sleep in here, it’s inhabitable,” says Page.

While Page says she has no plans to renew her lease, she’s hoping this problem is fixed – so she can return home for the remainder of the month. The property manager says the company is working to address ways to prevent the bats from entering the home.
