BAXTER COUNTY, AR – The Sheriff’s Office has arrested 44-year-old Chris Eugene Tisdale, of Midway on charges related to breaking into mini-storage units at the Stash and Dash storage facility near Gassville on Sunday.

Deputies were called to the scene at 4:30 p.m. after the owner of the facility called the Sheriff’s Office to report she had found a man, identified as Tisdale, on her property taking personal property out of a mini storage unit that was not rented to him.

When authorities confronted Tisdale about the claim, he told deputies that he did not have a storage unit rented on the property.

Deputies found had a large amount of personal property inside his car, which he said was his. According to a report, the owner of the storage units then identified the property in Tisdale’s car as hers.

Tisdale was arrested and taken to the Detention Center. He was later interviewed and admitted to breaking into more than one storage unit and removing property from them.

He was booked on charges of:
Breaking or Entering (2 counts) – Felonies
Theft of Property – Felony
Theft of Property – Misdemeanor

He was released from custody on Monday after posting $15,000 bond and will appear in Circuit Court on May 28th. He may also be facing similar charges in Marion County.
