BAXTER COUNTY, AR – A Paragould man, 28-year-old Kenneth Dwayne Freeman II, is behind bars after turning himself in on Sunday for burglary and theft charges.

Baxter County Sheriff’s Investigators had gotten a warrant for Freeman’s arrest after investigating a complaint filed against him in June, 2014 by his former employer in Gamaliel.

According to a report the business reported thefts had been going on for about a year. The business owners suspected Freeman and had confronted him about it.

In May of 2014, the business got information that Freeman had been stealing from them the entire time he had been an employee. On June 11, Freeman left a voice mail for the owners apologizing because he had violated their trust. He was fired the same day.

The business provided investigators with a list of missing property that totaled $5,290. The missing items included cash, tools, and a credit card. After Freeman was fired, the business owners discovered that a shop building had been broken into and that tools were missing, as well as an air conditioning unit that was owned by Freeman, according to a report.

A warrant for Freeman’s arrest was finally issued on February 3, and Freeman turned himself in on Sunday.

Freeman was booked into the Detention Center on charges of:

Residential Burglary – Felony
Breaking or Entering – Felony
Theft of Property – Felony

He was released from custody after posting $25,000 bond and will appear in Circuit Court on March 12.
