LITTLE ROCK, AR – This weekend, thousands will flock to the Big Buck Classic at the State Fairgrounds to check out deer harvested in Arkansas.

But, you can also see wild animals and check out the new hunting tools and gadgets that have hit the market this year.

The Big Buck Classic draws thousands every year to see how their kills stack up against other hunters’ hauls from across the state. Even those too little to hunt enjoy what the Big Buck Classic has to offer.

“I seen the four wheelers, rock climbing walls and all the stuff and racecars,” says 7-year-old Logan Stephens.

“I like to see the animals, the bucks and I like to see, well, I like to see everything that’s here, the animals and the bucks and stuff,” says Emma McClain.

Vendors use the Big Buck Classic to show off their latest and greatest hunting tools.

“When you kill your deer, you can throw it up here on this back, or when you’re hauling your friends onto their deer stand, it becomes a seat also,” says Lev Bradford of Bradford Marine and ATV.

This year, Bradford says electric powered four-wheelers are a big hit.

“You’ll always see deer, but if you want to kill the big deer, the big bucks, and the big racks, you gotta be very quiet in the woods and the only way to do that is to walk or be on a quiet UTV,” says Bradford.

And, while Emma McClain’s mom does not hunt herself, she also likes looking at the bucks because it reminds her of all of the hunting trips she’s enjoyed with her husband.

“It’s very relaxing. It is. It’s very relaxing and peaceful. Like you said, it’s very peaceful. And, for somebody that hasn’t ever tried deer, it’s very good,” says Angela McClain.

The Big Buck Classic continues Sunday from nine til six at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds.
