LITTLE ROCK, AR — The Arkansas Big Buck Classic is back for another year and it’s happening this weekend. Planners say it is a hunter’s playground.
The event features the latest in outdoor gear. Kids are also able to view animals.
“I like the white tiger because he looks like a snowball,” said Luke Jacks.
Planners say live animals, tree stands, deer blinds, outfitters, boats, fishing equipment, exhibits, demonstrations and activities utilize most buildings on the State Fair Grounds.
One of the main activities centers around the Sunday awards ceremony.
“We’re going to find out who killed the biggest deer in Arkansas and whoever did will win a brand new Bad Boy Buggy from Bradford Marine,” said planner Dave Corley.
There is no charge for parking on the fairgrounds site. There is also a $10,000 door prize.
“My husband and I come to the Big Buck Classic every year because we enjoy it. We love the vendors, especially love seeing all the big deer because we are big deer hunters,” said Regina Poteete.
