LITTLE ROCK, AR – If you heard Market Street Cinema in Little Rock is closing, don’t worry. It will re-open over in the Riverdale Shopping Center on Cantrell in just a few weeks.

The owner Matt Smith says he made the move so patrons could have the very best when it comes to going to the movies. At the old location movies were seen on 35 mm with analog sound.

At Riverdale there will be some big changes, digital light projection, Dolby Digital surround sound. And that’s not all, he’s also applying for an alcohol license.

“We’re excited to be here, we hope at some point to have beer and wine and we are going to apply for a beer and wine permit we had one at Market Street for several years we hope to do that here.”

A few screens will be open Friday June 6th with all screens open by Friday, June 13.

Market Street will remain open until Riverdale is open.
