WASHINGTON, DC – A brand-new national NBC/WSJ poll finds Jeb Bush leading the crowded Republican presidential field, with 22 percent of GOP primary voters saying he’s their first choice. He’s followed by Scott Walker at 17 percent, Marco Rubio at 14 percent, and Ben Carson at 11 percent.
Not far behind the leaders is former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, who comes in 5th in the poll, with 9 percent.
A boost for the Huckabee campaign is also seen with his coming in fourth in the poll’s question that asked voters this: Could you see yourselves supporting this candidate or not?
- Rubio: 74 percent yes, 15 percent no (+59)
- Bush: 75 percent – 22 percent (+53)
- Walker: 57 percent -19 percent (+38)
- Huckabee: 65 percent -32 percent (+33)
