NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – A central Arkansas family says they will never forget this ice storm because it’s the night they welcomed in a new family member.
At 1 a.m. Monday morning Lauren Adamski’s water broke. So her husband Dave did his best to get his wife to the Springhill Baptist Hospital.
But they only made it to the parking lot.
“I was thinking there is no way to have this baby in the truck we need to get to the hospital so we can have it in the hospital,” says Dave.
“He’s coming out in the truck, especially when I looked up and saw we weren’t close to hospital. I was accepting it,” says Lauren.
Six pounds and 11 ounces later their new son was born. They were thinking about naming him Octavian after the storm but went with Brennan instead.
