LITTLE ROCK, AR – A California native thanks the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission for their fishery management. 

Mike Bennett of California stated on the commission’s Facebook page that he, “had the time of my life fishing in Arkansas .” 

He said he caught many fish, including the 50 pound striped bass that’s pictured. The catch was made in Lake Ouachita.

His full comment states: 

I just want to say I had the time of my life fishing in Arkansas last week with Ron Waymack. I want to thank you for your fishery management and stocking programs. I live in California and it is refreshing to see hands on management aimed to anglers. I caught a ton of big fish with two striped bass over 50 pounds. I spend at least 14 days a year in Arkansas for the past 4 years for the great fishing. Please keep up the good work.
