FAYETTEVILLE, AR (KNWA) – A local salon has been heavily damaged after a car crashed into the building.
It happened shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday at Alston Hair Salon on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
The Fayetteville Police Department says the crash happened after another car headed south on Government Avenue ran a stop sign.
Police say the crash caused a water line to break and firefighters also had to stabilize the front of the salon to keep it from further collapse.
The driver that ran the stop sign was ticketed by police.
The driver of the car that hit the building was taken to the hospital but was expected to be okay.
