EUREKA SPRINGS, AR (KNWA) — A man is dead after a car crashes into a tree.
It happened around 8 p.m. Monday on Highway 23 in Eureka Springs.
Emergency crews say the driver of a sedan went off the road at a high of speed.
A fire rescue truck’s Jaws of Life were used to open the jammed door for medical crews.
After the man was removed from the vehicle, he was carried up a steep hill. A helicopter from Air Evac Lifeteam met the ambulance at Turpentine Creek and the patient was flown to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He died shortly after arriving at the emergency room.
