CARROLL COUNTY, AR – Marriage licenses are no longer being granted to same sex couples in Carroll County.
That’s according to the Carroll County Clerk’s Office.
The office had issued licenses on Saturday, but stopped doing so on Monday morning after issuing licenses to 12 couples.
That leaves just three counties that are still granting the licenses, including: Marion, Pulaski and Washington.
The counties began granting the licenses after a circuit court ruling on May 9 lifted the state’s ban on same sex marriage.
