LITTLE ROCK, AR — After years of debate, Little Rock city leaders vote to allow a nightclub to extend it’s hours to 5 a.m.

The owner of Club Trois obtained a permit to remain open late from another business that was grandfathered in after the city stopped allowing such permits, but he needed the city’s permission to use it.

For months, some city leaders objected due to safety concerns.

On Tuesday, club owner Tracy Johnson, told the board he hired plenty of security and upgraded his camera and lighting systems.  The majority voted to allow Club Trois to remain open until 5 a.m. daily.

“It gives my clients an opportunity to stay a little longer. They don’t have to go somewhere else. It’s great for the city, great for my employees, great all the way around ,” says Johnson.
