City Funding Could be Minimal to None for NLR Boys & Girls Club

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Boys and Girls Club in North Little Rock is just one of many non profits that will be looking for other ways to stay afloat next year.

Tuesday the North Little Rock Mayor Joe Smith giving non profits a heads up that funding will be minimal or not at all.

Mayor Smith says he can see the writing on the wall for next year, and the city’s budget will be very, very tight.

But it takes money to keep the programs running.

CEO of the Boys and Girls Club Cindy Doramus says they are already looking for areas to cut back, but without sacrificing programs for the children.

“It could possibly be hours, fewer hours, would hate to have to go up on membership,” says Doramus.

If you would like to donate to the North Little Rock Boys and Girls Club of America just call the administrative offices and speak to the CEO Cindy Doramus.
