LITTLE ROCK, AR – Improvements to Highway 49 will require a lane closure on the Helena Bridge over the Mississippi River, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
The construction, which began Monday and will end Oct. 11, will reduce traffic to one lane, and will take place on weekdays from 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Traffic will be controlled using warning signs, barrels and flaggers.
Wide loads are restricted until the completion of construction.
