Conway Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested in North Carolina




CONWAY, AR — A man has been arrested in North Carolina after allegedly robbing a bank in Conway.

29-year-old Aaron Taylor faces a charge of aggravated robbery.

FBI agents in Arkansas and North Carolina assisted in located Taylor.

Police say he is the man seen in surveillance video robbing the Arvest Bank at 812 Oak Street on Veteran’s Day.

According to witnesses he handed the teller a note demanding money. 

He did not display a gun but told the teller he didn’t want to have to hurt anyone. 

The teller complied and the man left the bank on foot.

Detectives checked surveillance video from businesses in the area and discovered Taylor left the area in a car.

They later located the previous owner of the car, this lead them to Taylor’s identity. 

They tracked Taylor down to a home in Henderson County North Carolina. 

Officials there say when they showed up Taylor ran off but was located shortly after.
