PULASKI COUNTY, AR – A Conway man has been arrested at the scene of an attempted home burglary.
It happened Wednesday shortly before noon in the 8700 block of Highway 161 just outside North Little Rock.
Deputies say the homeowner called for help when he saw a man run from his home into a wooded area. Soon after deputies arrived, a vehicle tried to leave the area through the backyard but was stopped by trees. The driver got out with his hands up and was arrested.
He’s identified as Michael Sebourn, 38.
The PCSO says Sebourn had a warrant for his arrest from the Arkansas Board of Parole and the vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen from Jefferson County.
Deputies say a search of the vehicle found a small metal pipe with suspected Marijuana in it, a suspected Marijuana cigarette and a small bag with suspected Marijuana in it.
The home’s back door frame had been broken but the suspect had not gone inside. The door to a workshop on the property had been pried open and the dead bolt lock broken. Two gas cans had been left by the door and the gas caps from lawnmowers and outboard motors had been removed, along with the gas caps of several vehicles on the property.
An estimated $1,200 in damage was reported to the doors of the home and shop.
Sebourn is charged with criminal mischief, breaking or entering, fleeing and has a hold for parole. He also faces several drug charges.
