LITTLE ROCK, AR – A Crawford County man has died after losing control of his vehicle.
The Arkansas State Police accident report states it happened on Section 5 of State Highway 59 just after 9 Tuesday morning.
The victim is identified as Steven Pollard, 45, of Natural Dam.
The accident report states Pollard was driving north in a 2003 Ford Focus when his vehicle crossed the center line and overcorrected back to the right. The car then struck the edge of a bridge guard rail, spun around clockwise one full turn and then went off the bridge.
Troopers say the victim was thrown out of the vehicle, which came to a rest in the river bed below the bridge.
The accident report notes road conditions were wet from rain.
