DERMOTT, AR – A fire department in Chicot County is mourning the loss of its assistant chief in the line of duty.

It happened Wednesday when J.B. Hutton, Jr. collapsed at the scene of a brush fire, reports our content partner Monticello Live.

Hutton, the assistant chief of the Dermott Fire Department, had been a firefighter there since the mid ’60s.
