LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Little Rock Police say Jarvis Washington, 28, and Porcha Gibson, 39, died Sunday after a shooting at Spanish Jon’s Apartments on W. 65th Street.
According to a news release sent Monday by LRPD, officers found out about a shooting victim that arrived at Baptist Hospital just after 3 Sunday afternoon.
When officers arrived at the hospital, Washington told them he was shot at Spanish Jon’s Apartments.
Police say Washington’s condition declined and he later died due to his injuries.
When officers arrived at the apartment complex, they found a door unlocked, but blocked from the inside with a chair, according to the release.
Officers pushed their way in and found a woman, later identified as Gibson, dead. According to the release, Gibson was found just inside the doorway and had an apparent gunshot wound.
According to the release, no one else was found inside the apartment.
Detectives say they are working with the apartment management to get surveillance footage in the area or at the apartments.
The vehicle that Washington took to the hospital was towed and will be evaluated by detectives.
Washington’s and Gibson’s bodies were transported to the Arkansas State Crime lab for an autopsy.
Little Rock Police say after the preliminary investigation, it’s possible the shooting is the result of a domestic-related incident.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Two people are dead after an apparent shooting at the Spanish Jon’s Apartments on West 65th Street.
Police are on the scene, and are interviewing witnesses.
There are few details at this time.
The dispatch log shows a shooting investigation called in to a local hospital shortly after 3:00 p.m. where a man had been brought suffering from multiple wounds.
He died at the hospital.
Police found the female victim back at the apartment based off of information they received at the hospital.
