LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Highway crews drilling along two Arkansas interstates in the coming days will require the shutdown of lanes at times on both Interstate 530 in Pulaski County and I-30 in Saline County.
The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says the drilling is part of plans to repair and rehabilitate both interstates in 2014 and 2015.
The Highway Department will close alternating lanes of I-530 starting at I-30 in south Little Rock for about five miles from Wednesday through Friday and again from Sept. 17-Sept 21.
In Saline County — the department will close the westbound, inside, lane of I-30 just west of the Highway 70 exit on Tuesday.
The lanes on both interstates will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day.
