LITTLE ROCK, AR — If you’re going to be driving near the I-40/ I-430 interchange, you may want to leave a little earlier to get to your destination on time.
Some of the lanes are closed because highway crews are out collecting samples.
This is all being done to widen I-40 and make changes at the I-40/ I-430 some time next year.
But here’s the bright side: The work is done between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., when there are fewer vehicles on the road.
“That’s the price of progress. When you’re talking about an improved facility, you’ll see a lot like what it is right now,” said Danny Straessle, spokesman for the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department.
The tie up is expected to run through Thursday.
