HOT SPRINGS, Ark.– An elderly man is dead after he had a seizure while driving and hit a Zaxby’s restaurant.

Saturday afternoon around 2:15 p.m. Hot Springs Police responded to an accident at the Zaxby’s restaurant on Central Avenue in Hot Springs. 

When Police arrived they found a Nissan Altima had hit the Zaxby building and 82-year-old Bobby Lea was found in the driver’s seat unresponsive. He was transported to the St. Vincent hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to witnesses, Mr. Lea was driving his car out of the Kroger parking lot when he appeared to be having a seizure or some other medical emergency. He then crossed the road and hit the Zaxby’s building.

Police say no one at Zaxby’s was injured and the building was had minimal damage.
