LITTLE ROCK, AR – A family is demanding answers Monday night after police responded to a Little Rock home and find two people dead inside.
Police have not named a suspect but the family thinks someone knows something.
Monday afternoon Little Rock Police had the area around a home in the 1500 block of W. 33rd blocked off with yellow police tape.
Dozens of worried family, friends and concerned neighbors crowded the street sharing hugs as they all tried to wrap their arms around what happened.
Police say a friend of Bobby Broadway, 40, and Natasha Avery, 30, found the couple dead inside their home when he came to check on them Monday morning.
The Little Rock Police Department reports the friend was apparently there late the night before and when he tried calling them in the morning but got no answer, he went to the home and that’s when he found them.
One family member who wished to remain anonymous claimed, “The way that they took him away was like the worst s*** in the world.”
According to police the victims had multiple gun shot wounds.
No one we spoke with could grasp why someone would target the couple.
“It happened for no reason,” family members continued. “They were good people both of them were.”
Police reports claimed that the crime scene showed no evidence of forced entry or stolen property which has the same family members suspicious.
“They just snuck up on them,” they said. “It had to be a friend.”
The suspicions were a reason they refused give their name.
“[The] Next door neighbor knows something,” they continued. “I hope y’all put this on the news. Cause they had to have heard something.”
Police allowed a few select family members inside the home after they cleared the crime scene to gather belongings. They were potentially lasting memories of the two people found dead inside the home.
