LITTLE ROCK, AR — A second cross now stands at the spot where 14-year-old Michael Stanley died Thursday. His brother, Zamir Bunche, is upset about the crime.
“I cried for the first hour and a half after I found out. It just don’t even feel real right now,” said Bunche.
Police say Stanley died when Michael Sadler ran over him with his red minivan. Sadler claims the teen stole his wallet.
“It’s just so sad because he had a whole life ahead of him. He had a whole life to look forward to. He was just 14 years old,” said Bunche.
Stanley’s father feels the same.
“It’s sad how the man chased him down for all that time,” said Michael Stanley, Sr.
Bunche hangs on to the awards the 14-year-old once earned and says despite the crime, his mind is at ease.
“I’m happy. I’m at peace cause I know he is up there with God now,” said Bunche.
