BENTON, AR – A large fire in Benton required the assistance of several departments.
On Friday around 5:02 p.m., the Benton Fire Department responded to a fire at the Counseling Clinic Inc. on Sevier St.
The fire was fully involved when fire fighters arrived. Numerous fire departments from around the area also responded to help including: Bryant, Turtle Creek, Bauxite, Salem, and others.
No one is believed to have been in the building during the fire. One firefighter did suffer minor heat exhaustion and was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time. The investigation continues.
