CONWAY, Ark. – Three women and a man were arrested in a prostitution sting in Conway on July 21, police say.
The FBI and Little Rock police worked together with the Conway Police Department to conduct the sting at the Comfort Inn and Suites on Sanders Road, authorities said.
Ashuntia Pugh, 18, of Pine Bluff, Brandy Norman, 35, of Cabot, Ashlee Phillips, 37, of North Little Rock and Toney Gilbert, 25, of Pine Bluff were all taken into custody, according to the Conway Police Department.
Undercover officers posing as potential customers had contact with the women via text in three separate encounters, according to police. They arranged meetings with the women at a local hotel.
In each incident, once the undercover officer met a suspect and payment was discussed, other officers entered the room and arrested the suspect, authorities said.
Police said Gilbert was seen dropping off one of the women at the hotel. He faces a charge of promoting prostitution.
