HORSESHOE BEND, AR — The Arkansas State Police confirms a Franklin woman died in a head-on car collision after losing control while driving over an icy bridge Monday morning.
According to a report, 68-year-old Janet Standridge was driving over the Strawberry River on the State 289 bridge in Izard County when she lost control and collided with an oncoming vehicle.
The driver of the second vehicle was was taken to Fulton County Hospital, but her condition has not been released.
