PINE BLUFF, Ark– A Central Arkansas native is using his experience as a former gang member to impact lives, sharing his story during a special event in Pine Bluff.
First Baptist Church Dew Drop is where people heard messages of faith Wednesday night. It’s also where Charles Bank is writing a new verse for his life song.
“I want to come to this community to give back to this community,” said Banks.
Banks used to be a member of the Original Gangster Crips in the 1990s. But a transformation has now happened.
Banks is now in a peaceful gang, called Faith.
“I travel across the state telling people my story from Crip to Christ,” said Banks.
Banks says he doesn’t mind telling people about his new grace.
“God has changed me and set me free from the drugs,” said Banks.
