Wednesday, former Governor Mitt Romney attended fundraisers in Little Rock. The events raised more than $2-million for his campaign.
The events ranged from a $2500 ticket to see Romney give a speech to $25,000 to eat dinner with him at the Capital Hotel. U.S. Congressman Tim Griffin tells FOX16 about 35 people attended the private dinner, and many asked about and praised Romney for his Vice Presidential choice of Paul Ryan.
Prior to the dinner, about 250 people attended the speech in which Romney talked about energy independence, education reform and getting rid of Obamacare.
Protesters and supporters filled the sidewalks outside the downtown hotels before and during the fundraisers.
Security made sure only those with tickets and invitations to the events saw the former governor.
The Romney campaign has not yet said whether the Republican presidential candidate will return to Arkansas this year.
