RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – We all know Arkansas has its fair share of alligators, but they are typically spotted in south Arkansas. That’s not what happened over the weekend.
A man from Pope County posted a picture on Facebook. It shows a pretty large alligator sitting on a bank. He says he saw it on the Bona Dea Trail in Russellville. It’s been shared hundreds of times.
The Arkansas Game and Fish says most alligators are in south Arkansas, but it’s not unusual to find them in other places.
