VAN BUREN, Ark. (AP) — Police in Van Buren say a Van Buren child was killed after she was struck by a vehicle driven by her father near a business in the west Arkansas city.
Det. Jonathan Wear said the man was backing out of the business Thursday when he ran over his daughter.
Wear told The Southwest Times Record that the girl apparently got out of the man’s vehicle without him noticing and that she was standing behind the vehicle when she was hit.
The girl’s name and age were not immediately released.
