Green Briar High Baseball Players Give Trees to Vilonia School

GREENBRIER, AR_A baseball team is putting rivalry aside this weekend to show their opponents that they’re on the same team.

 Greenbrier High School baseball players presented the Vilonia baseball team with trees during their game Saturday afternoon.

From Apples to dogwood, to plums and peaches, there were 30 in all for each baseball player to plant in their Vilonia community.

“Trees are really resilient,” Jordan Patton said.

“You always see some trees that are destroyed, but then you always see the trees that are still standing. And that’s one kind of thing that I see when I see my teammates. They’re still standing strong through the storm,” Patton said Along

The boys also gave the team a personalized t-shirt showing unity and friendship. 
Greenbrier high school in general also presented Vilonia and Mayflower with $1,500 each.
