Gun Stolen From Police Recovered in Drug Bust

SILOAM SPRINGS, AR (KNWA) – A Siloam Springs man is out on bond after being arrested during a drug bust Friday.

According to Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the narcotics unit, along with Siloam Springs officers, found guns, pills, pot and about one ounce of meth during a search of Mark Scism’s home on Dawn Hill Drive.

Investigators say one of the guns seized, a Smith and Wesson .38 handgun, had been stolen from the Phoenix Police Department.

Scism was arrested on a number of charges:
Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms,
Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver-Methamphetamine,
Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver-Schedule II,
Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver-Schedule III,
Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver-Schedule IV and V,
Theft by Receiving (Firearm), Possession of a Controlled Substance –Marijuana,
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

He bonded out on January 11 on a $20,000 bond, and will be arraigned in the Benton County Circuit Court Division I on February 17 at 8 a.m.
