BOONE COUNTY, Ark. – A Harrison man is hospitalized and his ex-wife is in jail after a Wednesday stabbing incident.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) says Annette Goulet, 64, is charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Capital Murder and is being held on $150,000 bond.
Deputies say the woman had argued with her ex-husband, Craig Goulet, 66, and he was stabbed multiple times. Two witnesses to the incident told the BCSO they had been there at the start of the assault and intervened to disarm the woman and give first aid to the victim.
Sheriff Mike Moore commended the witnesses for saving the life of Mr. Goulet, who was flown to an area hospital where he underwent surgery for his wounds. At the time a news release was issued Thursday afternoon, there was no update available on his condition.
Annette Goulet is being held at the Boone County Jail.
