LITTLE ROCK, AR – Health officials have announced the state is under attack by the flu and you need to protect your self starting today.
We are still a few weeks out from peak flu season but the state is already seeing widespread infection.
The state health department has not recorded any deaths, but a spokesperson says sadly we will.
“The flu is here, we are at a high level of flu infection across the state. It’s a high risk for anyone coming in constant with people across the state,” says Gary Wheeler.
Doctors recommend vaccinations for the very young and women who are pregnant.
And all of us are advised to limit contact and try to fist or elbow bump instead of shaking hands.
