MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — A man accused of killing his parents in Arkansas last month has a scheduled court hearing in Tennessee.
Authorities allege Antonio Whitlow killed Bobby and Annette Whitlow on July 28 and abducted his 12-year-old sister. Whitlow was found hours later in Memphis with the girl, whom authorities said didn’t appear to have been harmed.
Whitlow appeared in court in Tennessee earlier this month on an assault charge stemming from a stabbing in May. He was being held in lieu of $50,000 bond, and the judge ordered that Whitlow be assigned a public defender to represent him.
Whitlow is due in court Monday on the assault charge.
Authorities have said they expect Whitlow to be charged with murder in the Little Rock slayings.
