LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas highway officials are cautioning motorists that there will be a number of lane closures during the Thanksgiving travel period.
The highway department said Tuesday that the closures include an 18-mile stretch of Interstate 40 between Hazen and Brinkley in east Arkansas. The agency suggests motorists take an alternate route, such as U.S. 70 or U.S. 64.
Traffic is down to one lane in each direction for construction of a bridge over the White River.
In Texarkana, Arkansas 245 will be reduced to one lane from I-30 to U.S. 82.
Between Little Rock and Pine Bluff, I-530 is down to one lane in each direction for a stretch in northern Jefferson County.
All lanes near the Interstate 430-630 interchange construction zone in west Little Rock are open.
