HOT SPRINGS, AR – An early Saturday accident claimed the life of a Hot Springs man. The victim is identified as 35 year old Richard Fanning.
Investigators say Fanning entered a curve on East Lakeshore Drive at high speed. He apparently lost control of the Buick LeSabre he was driving. It left the road on the south side of East Lakeshore and struck a concrete culvert.
Fanning was taken to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Hot Springs but doctors were unable to save him. Fanning’s body is at the Arkansas State Crime Lab for examination.
