LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Mike Huckabee is heading back to Arkansas to raise money for the state Republican Party.

The former governor is the headliner for a pre-election rally Oct. 27 in Little Rock. State party chairman Doyle Webb says Republicans look forward to Huckabee’s support as the GOP hopes to make major gains in the November election.

The rally is set for 5 p.m. Oct. 27 — after the Razorbacks play Ole Miss in Little Rock. The event will take place in the east River Market Pavilion in downtown Little Rock.

Republicans are optimistic heading into the November election with hopes of winning a majority in the Legislature for the first time since Reconstruction.
