LITTLE ROCK, AR – Work is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks on some road improvements in Jefferson County.
The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for a project to reconstruct 6.1 miles of Interstate 530.
The work includes the rehabilitation of two bridges and will be performed between Jefferson and Highway 104, north of Pine Bluff.
Cranford Construction Company of North Little Rock was awarded the contract at $28,187,928, according to a news release from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD).
The AHTD says the project should be complete in late 2018.
