NORTHWEST ARKANSAS (KNWA)– A federal judge sentenced a Springdale man to nine years in prison for distributing methamphetamine.
Prosecutors say Joe Chantharath, aka “Joe Psycho,” must also serve three years of supervised release. According to investigators, Chantharath sold meth five times to someone working undercover in May of 2014.
The amount of meth sold during those buys totaled approximately 85 grams. During a search of his home, authorities say they found 12 grams of meth, over $2,500 in cash and five guns.
He pleaded guilty to distribution of methamphetamine in October.
The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Rogers Police Department and the Springdale Police Department.
