LITTLE ROCK, AR — A judge will wait until a mental evaluation hearing before he decides if the man accused of killing a Jacksonville firefighter and injuring two others will go to trial.
A psychiatrist said Bryce Allen understands the attempted murder and murder charges against him but not the fleeing, aggravated assault, and reckless driving.
Police said Allen ran over and killed Captain Donny Jones and severely injured fire fighter Jason Bowmaster and police officer Daniel DiMatteo.
According to doctors, Allen suffers from bipolar disorder and paranoia.
