LITTLE ROCK, AR – LBGT members and community activist kicked off their equality summer campaign Thursday night.
The meeting invited those who want to support eliminating discrimination in the Natural State.
Supporters brainstormed resources and challenges the group might face along the way.
Leaders said they want Governor Asa Hutchinson to create a law banning discrimination against state employees around Arkansas.
“I think he needs to hold true to that promise and it needs to be as urgent as it was for the fix that he did around HB 1228,” said Kendra Johnson HRC director.
The Governor did not comment in the Executive Order. Supporters say the meeting is one of many in the coming months.
