LITTLE ROCK, Ark.– “Come up with a resolution, violence is not a solution” was the motto of a picnic Sunday afternoon.
The peace picnic was held at Murray Lock and Dam.
Due to the recent violence, a well known local DJ wanted to use his voice to bring people together.He says he had to do something to try and stop the growing violence.
Choca Flood “DJ Deja Blu”, event organizer says, “I’m just one person, but hopefully my vision can trickle down to everyone else and everyone can come on board and we can make this bigger and better and find a solution to all this violence and hopefully stop it.”
Mayor Mark Stodola was at the picnic.
Flood says today was not a one time affair. He wants to hold similar community events in the future.
