LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — We are seeing some damage from the Tropical Depression Storm Cristobal that is over our state.
A tree has fallen on top of a home along Anita Drive in Little Rock. Breanna Baker and her kids were home when it happened.
“I heard a loud bang and a saw a flash and I closed my eyes and when I opened my eyes the tree was in the living room,” Baker said.
She said her first thought was for her kids, then trying to get everyone outside and out of harms way. At that point, her neighbor, Este Frazier, came to check on the family.
“I heard this big boom and I heard someone scream and so I ran over here to see if everyone was okay,” Frazier said.
Baker and her kids all made it out with out a scratch.
“I was closer to the tree than my kids were but I’m just happy it didn’t actually fall through,” Baker said.
Now, she’s just thankful she and her family are all in one peice.
“Yeah it was scary, I’m just happy it wasn’t anything worse,” baker said.
The tree also knocked out power lines. Crews are working to remove the limbs and restore power.
